Volcanic Activity

- a popular way of classifying volcanoes is by their frequency of eruptions. Volcanoes are classified into three namely: Active, Potentially Active Volcano (Dormant/Sleeping Volcano), and Inactive (Extinct).

POTENTIALLY ACTIVE VOLCANOES (DORMANT/SLEEPING VOLCANO)

-These are volcanoes that shown no sign of activity. They have not erupted for a considerable length of time. A dormant of time. A dormant volcano may become active again. Mt. Apo, Mt. Arayat and Mt. Sto Tomas are dormant volcanoes.

-morphologically young-looking but with no historical records of eruption.
