Factors affecting Climate

By: Linen Calope Jr.

There are two major weather conditions that determine the climate of a region - temperature and rainfall. The Sun heats te Earth's surface unevenly. Because of the cahnging angle at which the sun's rays strike defferent parts of the surface, places near the equator, like the Phhilippines, are much warmer than the places near the poles.

Even though temperature and rainfall (or other forms of precipitation such as snow) are the major determinants of climate, they are also influences by many other factors as well.

Climate is affected by the altitide of a place, latitude, bodies of water, ocean currents and amount of rainfall. Why do different parts of the Philippines experience different climates? Why would different periods in a year have different climates?

Please stay tune for further information about each factors.
